Envac Quantum 300 is our latest development. It includes a newly-developed chute compactor that allows increased storage capacity, smaller pipe dimension and lower energy consumption.
Half the energy
With Envac Quantum 300 the energy consumption is reduced by more than 50% compared to a standard Envac system.
The waste is compacted right below the waste inlet in the storage pipe instead of upon arrival to the waste terminal. This means that the number of valve emptyings can be reduced significantly.
The compacted waste allows a smaller dimension of pipes and a reduction of the airflow with as much as 50%. By using a tilted container at the end of the process, we are also using gravity force for a second compaction instead of using a hydraulic compactor with an electrical motor.
These factors together results in a reduced energy consumption of up to 50%. In energy terms Envac Quantum will actually consume less energy per ton collected waste than any other comparable traditional waste collection including ordinary waste collection vehicles.
Twice the capacity
Waste volumes are growing globally as is the need for increased waste handling capacity. With compaction at inlets the Envac Quantum solution can increase the collection capacity by doubling the number of dwellings covered by each inlet.
In some cases, depending on type of waste handled, a 400% compaction can be achieved.
Double the value
Envac Quantum gives the owner a higher value when looking at the investment.
The smaller pipe dimension and choice of pipe material (plastic pipe) result in a lower cost compared to a traditional steel pipe both in terms of material cost as well as handling and installation cost. By doubling the number of dwellings covered by each inlet a saving is reached in terms of system inlets needed. Compacted waste and reduced pipe dimension means that transportation airspeed can be reduced thus saving energy in terms of vacuum generation. Cost of operation is reduced.
