Part of the mission for Hong Kong Science Park is to show the community how offices and laboratories can be built to world-class environmental standards.

Each building has a room with two hoppers on each floor where the worker physically puts the recycled and non-recycled waste into the separate hopper or metal container linked to the pipe leading to the waste container.

Hong Kong Science Park is a state of the art campus, a hub for innovative and high technology enterprises. This development is a model for other potential projects in Asia with aspirations for advanced building technologies.

Science Park occupy an area of 22 hectares and provide a gross floor area of 330 000 square metres.

The Envac system is collecting 2 waste streams from the office buildings, mixed waste with paper and cardboard.
