Shanghai's airport Pudong opened in 1999. It is the main hub for China Eastern Airline.

China Eastern Air Catering, subsidiary to China Eastern Airlines, built the new catering facility in the airport area using modern design and the latest technology.

The main reason for choosing the Envac system was to minimize traffic in the area and improve safety and hygiene conditions.

Being the very first Envac Kitchen Waste installation in China, the project has well proved the reliability and stability of the system. It meets the demands of shift operation and handles the wet food waste very well.
