About UE Square

Since 1996, UE Square has been marked as a historic site by the National Heritage Board. Hailed as an intelligent “city within the city”. UE Square is designed by the late world-renowned architect Prof. Kenzo Tange, it brought together residential living, entertainment and lifestyle elements in an integrated stop, for the people working, living and playing within the vicinity of River Valley and Clemenceau.

PWCS at UE Square

At UE Square, the Envac system is installed to serve 345 units of apartments and about 1,200 residents. The system is designed to collect general waste.

The network of refuse pipes connects the refuse chutes from the 4 residential tower blocks to the collection station.

UE Square is the first residential development installed with pneumatic waste collection system in Singapore with 10 discharge valves and about 600 metres of refuse pipes.
