Irrblosset

Project status
Ongoing

Planning permission has been approved making it possible for Studentbostäder in Linköping (housing for students) to build three new residential buildings that are four to six floors high in Irrblosset. This means an additional 218 apartments. Irrblosset is an attractive area being close to the University as well as Linköping city centre.

There are already 550 student apartments in Irrblosset.

Residual waste and food waste will be collected by a vacuum waste system from Envac. The special, green plastic bag is to be used for the food waste. It will later proceed to the biogas production.

There is already a mobile vacuum waste system from Envac in the area this will be linked to the new stationary waste system.

Fully developed, the system will be able to handle about 5 ton waste / week from about 750 apartments in Irrblosset.

The construction has started and completion date is expected to be early spring 2017.
