The Oberoi Flight Kitchen India premier flight catering and hotel operator was also managing the New Doha International Airport – Qatar Airways Flight Kitchen under a management contract.

A chance introduction to the Envac facilities there excited the owner to the benefits and there was no looking back. An initial order to their 15,000 meals a day facility in Mauritius was followed with this order for Phase 1 in New Delhi for a system to cater to a meal production of 15,000 meals a day.

With the opening of the New Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 3 the facilities of the flight catering units were being revamped.

The state of the art facility is the most modern flight catering facility in India installed with an Envac Automated waste system which will collect waste from ware wash, dish wash and food preparation areas as well.

The system is fully equipped with trash chute in benches, trash chutes located in the food prep areas, customs bonded warehouse and the conveyor systems receiving the food trays from the aircraft.

The system is designed for 20 tons of waste per day and will be expanded from 15,000 meals to 30,000 trays in the next two years.
