The Jewish General Hospital in downtown Montreal has a new extension, Pavilion K. The pavilion features a state-of-the-art innovative emergency department to address waiting times and patient flow.
Pavilion K focus on patients requiring emergency treatment, surgery, intensive, coronary or neonatal intensive care. The pavilion, covering 82,000 square feet, is divided into three separate units.
Envac will handle the laundry of 254 hospital beds, 131 stretchers and the general waste from Pavilion K. The project includes a general waste system and a linen collection system from Envac.
The systems will transport waste and laundry throughout a parallel two pipe network installed in the lower underground parking levels of Pavilion K. The terminal building is located adjacent to the pavilion.
