The Parque da Cidade is a mixed area under construction in Sao Paolo. The waste will be collected with a pneumatic waste collection system delivered by Envac.
The assembly of Envac system is moving in a good pace. The terminal to attend the first two buildings of the development will be ready on September 2015. The full service for the whole area is programmed to 2018 and will collect more than 12 ton/day distributed in 3 different fractions – organic, recyclables and regular waste.
LEED ND certification
The “Parque da Cidade” is an urban and sustainable development that will revitalize the area where it is being built, to attend a high density population with the promotion of public transport, less dependence on cars, more green areas and supply of labor, trade and services within walking distance. The project brings together people and opportunities in a small footprint, which improves land use and promotes sustainability.
The “Parque da Cidade” has developed solutions that make it able to achieve LEED ND certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Neighborhood Development). This certification, a first in South America, is developed by the US Green Building Council - US GBC, considering the surroundings of the buildings, the neighborhood, the enterprise as a whole, emphasizing aspects of sustainable development combined with the practices of green buildings.
About the development
With 62,000 m² of open areas and 22 thousand square meters of green area, this is a place completely planned for your well-being.
In “Parque da Cidade” everything is concentrated in one place, with shopping, hotel, restaurants, corporate towers, commercial space, residential buildings, cafes, service kiosks and an integrated linear park.
The “Parque da Cidade” is a multipurpose complex inspired by the concept of compact cities, where everything is concentrated in the same location. The project brings more time to spend with family, areas where cycling and walking are more important than cars. It has spaces for integration, such as squares, bars and restaurants. A place without walls, with a large number of leisure facilities and services for you to live, work and play.
