The collection station of the Envac system in Valdelsafuentes is a well-known image of the Alconbendas city. The 400 m2 hexagonal roof is covered with solar panels and it has been on the cover of numerous magazines and in newspapers.

The comfortable and easy operation of the Envac system in Valdelasfuentes inspired the City Council to continue with pneumatic waste collection in future developments.
Felix Caraballa, Environmental Manager

The Envac system in Valdelasfuentes has helped to reduce the energy consumption by almost 20 percent by using a new energy saving programme developed and patented by Envac.

A 4,2 Km pipenet, with 175 discharge valves, collects a total of 14 tons/day in two fractions of waste, packaging and rest, serving 3,500 dwellings, a large shopping mall and one of the largest sports arenas in Europe.
