Vila Olympica was the first facility in Spain, and a model to be analysed by other municipalities around the world. It's still in process of enlargement, and its situation close to the sea marks why it is the most visited facility in Spain.

The second Envac installation in Spain is still being spread into the closer areas of the 1992 Olympic Games Village.
Vila Olympica, started up in 1992 operated by Envac O&M Department. At first just collected 5.000 dwelling; nowadays, it's collecting more than 12.000, and this fact forced to enlarge it urgently. It's a complex facility, due to its log life. It's collecting one fraction in the old part, and two fractions in the enlargement. Around 15 tones a day, in a high level area close to the sea, and extending its scope from new to existing areas.
