About The Sail
The Sail @ Marina Bay is designed by the renowned Norwegian-American architect Peter Pran, the glass-clad towers are uniquely fluid and contoured in shape and are designed to envision a towering sailboat that has arrived at the bay and permanently anchored itself.
The Sail consist of 2 awe-inspiring towers soaring majestically into the sky at 70 and 63 stories embodying regal sails capturing the wind. At 245 meters above sea level at the highest point, The Sail @ Marina Bay will be Singapore’s tallest residential development and a global waterfront landmark on Singapore’s skyline.
PWCS at The Sail
In The Sail, the envac system is designed to serve 1111 units of apartments and about 4000 residents. The system comes with a source-separation recycling facility. It is meant for 2-fraction recycling, the recyclable fraction and the general waste fraction.
The network of refuse pipes connects the 2 pairs of refuse chutes from the 2 residential tower blocks to the collection station.
The Sail @ Marina Bay is one of the first few developments in Singapore that had recycling facilities incorporated with the vacuum waste collection system.
