Fagereng

Fagereng is the first area in Tromsø to get a vacuum system and the main reason for choosing the system was to minimize traffic and the emissions in the area.

A mobile vacuum system collects the household waste and helps reducing traffic with heavy vehicles. This system handles three different types of waste, sorted in different coloured bags. The bags are disposed off in the same storage tank and collected all together, but once they have been collected they are transported to an optical sorting plant, and separated. Waste separation is easy and comforable for the resident of Fagereng.

The optical sorting plant was delivered by Optibag Systems AB in Sweden, a subsidiary of Envac AB.
