Fornebu

Fornebu was once the airport of Oslo. It is located 12 km east of the capital. It is being turned into a new suburban area with 6,100 flats, as well as offices, schools etc. A vacuum waste collection system will serve the area and collect 3 different waste streams (residual, platstic and paper), one for energy and two for recycling.

Building of extensions started in 2006 and will be completed in 2018.

The order has been received in collaboration with Envac's Finnish partner YIT.
