Nissa Strand

Nissa Strand is a new residential area with 1,500 flats, close to the centre of Halmstad.

All the six companies that developed the area agreed to implementing a an automated waste collection system.

The City of Halmstad wanted to improve the boardwalk along the Nissan River and decided to connect a self-emptying litterbin system to the vacuum system that was already being planned for the residential area.
