In operation since 2009, the pipenet of this system is 12 Km long. 376 NOA inlets will collect 12 tons/day of the waste of 6.783 dwellings separately in three fractions (packaging, paper and rest).
The underground waste collection station saves urban space and go unnoticed by the citizens. In fact, the roof top of the building is flat and is used as a car park. It is equipped with 3 cyclones, bridge crane and five containers. Envac takes care of operation and maintenance.
The main reason for choosing an automated waste collection system was to minimize traffic in the area. Today the waste is collected and transported underground in the Envac pipe system, and compacted into a container in the collection station. The heavy vehicle traffic has been reduced to a minimum.
