Envac will deliver a vacuum waste collection system to the Shenzen Athletes Village for the Summer World University Games 2011.
In August next year Shenzhen, China, will host the Summer World University Games. It is organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation. A new international sport centre is being built for the games. Once the games are over, the sport centre will become the new Shenzhen Polytechnic University. Envac is proud tdeliver a vacuum waste collection system that will handle the waste at Athletes Village/Shenzhen Polytechnic University. The University will have three campuses and the Envac system will be installed in the east campus, that will be used as Shenzhen Athletes Village during the games. Initially, it will serve around 5,000 apartments, expected to generate 6.3 tons waste per day. It will be possible to extend the system to the two other campuses in the future.
The Shenzhen Athletes Village building area is 277,000 square meters. The whole University Project occupies 920,000 square meters and the building area is around 530,000 square meters. The new Sport Centre is featuring a 60,000-seat main stadium, a 18,000-seat gym, a 13.4-square-kilometre park and other facilities, to be established in the Longgang District, Shenzhen. The Summer World University Games, aka The Universiade, take place 8 - 18 August 2011.
