The decision to implement Envac’s Pneumatic Waste Collection System saved the developer time, space and costs related to the manual collection of waste.

Yuhua Estate in Jurong is a pilot for the HDB Greenprint project. The old public housing estate has been transformed into a “Green Neighbourhood”.

Envac has grreatly reduced the labor intensity of local cleaning workers. It saves the work and cost of collecting waste layer by layer in the high-rise residential buildings.

Its predicted density, in parallel with governmental plans to make Sejong the country’s second largest administrative city after Seoul, led to the decision to integrate Envac’s system within the fabric of Sejong city’s urban infrastructure.

This is the first and only existing pneumatic system in New York City (44+ years in operation) and the third of those built in the United States, in New Jersey and at the Disney World leisure complex in Orlando (Florida).
