Envac joins Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on healthcare delegation to Germany and the Netherlands

Envac is proud to participate in a two-day delegation organised together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, visiting hospitals and nursing homes in the Aachen and Maastricht regions.
The Trade Council of North West Europe has founded the Innovative Health and Care Alliance – IHCA, bringing together Danish and German stakeholders in healthcare. It is a strategic, long-term collaboration of Danish suppliers of innovative eldercare solutions, designed to increase exposure to relevant partners in the German sector and facilitate business opportunities.
The delegation aims to share knowledge on healthcare systems, procurement processes, and how professionals tackle key challenges such as staff shortages, an ageing population, and digitalisation gaps.
Envac is represented by Swedish delegate Magnus Sjöstrand, Expert in Smart Waste Management Solutions for Healthcare Facilities.
Initiated in collaboration with Alexianer, one of Germany’s largest Catholic healthcare providers, the delegation includes:
- 29 psychiatric and somatic hospitals (including two private clinics) with approximately 7,595 beds
- 10,339 care places across outpatient, elderly, and daycare facilities
- 45 nursing facilities
By bringing together stakeholders from Germany, the Netherlands, and Denmark, the delegation seeks to foster cross-border cooperation, identify opportunities for collaboration, and share best practices for making healthcare systems future-proof.
