Naznoush Habashian speaking at NEB Festival satellite event

Envac will participate in a New European Bauhaus (NEB) Festival satellite event hosted by Stockholm Region EU Office and Stockholm Green Innovation District (SGID). The breakfast seminar explores how cities and regions can create sustainable, inclusive and beautiful places together with citizens, and how infrastructure, including waste management, needs to evolve to support that vision.

Envac’s Group CSO, Naz Habashian, will speak about “How to shape sustainable, inclusive and beautiful places with and for the citizens”.

As a member of SGID and an official NEB partner through the initiative, Envac will share concrete examples of smart, accessible and convenient waste management solutions that enable cleaner, greener and more liveable cities and municipalities. Our systems help reduce heavy traffic from collection trucks, free up urban space, improve hygiene and make sorting and recycling easier for residents, all important elements of “beautiful” everyday environments.

The seminar will also feature contributions from the NEB national contact point Boverket and the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre NEB unit, providing broader national and European perspectives on the New European Bauhaus and its implementation.

Full agenda (changes might occur, contact SGID for any questions):

  • Welcome speech – Ms. Anne Andersson, Managing Director at Stockholm Region EU Office.
  • Keynote – Ms. Pernille Weiss-Ehler, Member of cabinet of the European Commissioner for Environment, Water Resilience and a Competitive Circular Economy, Ms. Jessika Roswall.
