Effective and improved recycling

Recycling has become effortless with the help of ReFlow! The platform’s guides are designed to make recycling easy and user-friendly, resulting in a more efficient and cost-effective process. Users also receive feedback on their recycling habits and how they contribute to the city’s environmental goals. The platform can be displayed on building or apartment screens that show relevant information tailored to the user’s location, making recycling smoother.

  • In Stockholm Royal Seaport, Sweden, 67% of residents have modified their households to recycle more effectively and reduce waste.

This includes more meticulous sorting and increased use of food waste disposers, thanks to the ReFlow user experience.

Reflow app in use: scanning a QR code on a waste collection inlet

An interactive and cost-effective digital solution

ReFlow improves the pneumatic waste system’s performance by providing guidance on alternative inlets and enabling end-users to report errors. By analysing these reports, the smart system has the potential to resolve the issues automatically, reducing the need for manual maintenance and providing a seamless user experience.

Additionally, inlet QR codes allow guests or users without the app to report errors. For example, in Stockholm Royal Seaport in Sweden, the error reporting service, accessible via ReFlow and QR codes, is widely appreciated: 30% of reports are made via the app, while 70% are reported using QR codes on waste chutes.

Envac-Reflow Smart Waste Metering System

The world's first smart meter for waste collection

ReFlow has introduced the waste industry’s first-ever smart meter. Smart meters have revolutionised the energy sector with their ability to manage energy grids more efficiently and involve communities, benefits include:

  • Real-time monitoring of waste levels, which allows for optimised collection schedules and reduced unnecessary trips.
  • Improving efficiency by providing accurate data that helps lower energy consumption and operational costs while minimising environmental impact.
  • Smart meters engage the public by fostering better recycling habits through increased transparency about waste generation.
  • Enable predictive maintenance by identifying when inlets need servicing, leading to proactive management.

The data collected allows for insightful analytics, informing resource allocation and public awareness. Smart meters contribute to substantial cost savings, improved service, and support sustainability goals.

Accessing the EAP (Envac Automation Platform) through a computer interface

Seamless management

The Envac System Portal allows owners and operators to manage things straightforwardly. Real-time data provides valuable insights to facilitate informed decision-making. The portal is accessible on mobile and desktop devices, enabling remote management from any location.

Envac Cloud and our system portal (ESP) are available for all our recent systems. By connecting the automated waste collection system to ESP, you get the following:

  • Reports on system performance and usage
  • Real-time status of waste inlets in map view
  • A secure remote control management with full support for mobile and desktop
  • Backups of operational settings, allowing for fast recovery in case of mishaps
  • Seamless updates of new functionalities
