Envac expands its presence in Japan’s Airline Catering with advanced waste solutions

Envac is strengthening its position in Japan’s airline catering industry by delivering efficient and sustainable waste management solutions. Recently, the company undertook key maintenance and upgrade projects for All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Japan Airlines (JAL) at Haneda and Narita airports, reinforcing its long-term collaboration with Japanese airlines and catering firms.

Tokyo, Japan, 31st March 2025

In February 2025, Envac inspected ANA Air Catering Units 1 and 2 at Haneda Airport, replacing and installing the blower (exhauster). The company also refined operational methodologies and manuals to optimise efficiency and reliability. By overseeing equipment design, delivery, installation supervision, commissioning, and ongoing system management, Envac continues to enhance technical standards and service quality.

At Narita Airport, Envac provides maintenance and technical support for JAL’s in-flight meal processing system, in operation since 2011 and 2014. With regular inspections and performance enhancements, Envac ensures stable and efficient operation. Since entering Japan’s in-flight meal catering market in 2013, the company has successfully completed multiple projects, securing its first major contract in 2014.

Beyond Japan, Envac has a strong presence in global airline catering waste management. In South Korea, the company has supported LSG Catering and Korean Air since 2001, accumulating decades of expertise. With installations at key international hubs such as Hamad International Airport in Qatar, Emirates Flight Catering in Dubai, and Hong Kong International Airport, Envac brings global best practices to improve in-flight meal processing efficiency worldwide.
