Jin Sha Zhou Eco-town is a new ecological residential demonstration area planned by the Guangzhou municipal government, located in the west of Guangzhou, with a total area of 9.3 square kilometres and a population of 160,000. It is a residential Eco-town with low-rent and affordable housing community, high-grade property community, hospitals, schools and related supporting facilities.
Jin Sha Zhou is the first district in Guangdong province to be equipped with an Envac pneumatic waste collection system, while Jin Sha Zhou Eco-town is the first comprehensive residential district in mainland China to be equipped with the system.
