Cities account for only two per cent of the world’s landmass, yet they are responsible for producing most of the world’s carbon emissions and energy consumption.
Urbanisation is increasing and pressure on our climate and resources is intensifying.
We’ve changed the game by developing smart and sustainable waste collection systems that improve the quality-of-life for cities’ inhabitants and measurably reduce a city’s impact on the environment.
In doing this, we’re helping to improve the image, brand and appeal of cities worldwide.
With the Envac system, waste handling becomes an integral part of the urban infrastructure – just like water, sewage or any other service provided by the city.
As pressure to recycle more and send less to landfill increases, so too does the need for traditional waste container rooms, recycling stations and collection frequencies.
In contrast, our waste inlets are automatically emptied with the waste being transported away from residential areas in underground pipes. This saves space traditionally allocated to bins – both inside and outside buildings – and minimises the need for manual collections.
The space Envac releases can then be used for other amenities including green areas, small businesses, pedestrian walkways and bicycle lanes.
The Envac system is hermetically sealed so users are never exposed to waste, and our inlets can be fitted with contactless technology to make waste disposal even safer and more hygienic.
Unlike traditional waste collection methods, collection and system operatives do not have to go near the inlets to remove the waste, making the waste collection process safer.
As a result, our system cuts waste collection-related injuries and associated work absences.
Conventional waste collection creates significant amounts of traffic, with industrial vehicles typically required to enter residential and commercial areas. With Envac, this is no longer necessary. Our waste inlets are connected to an underground pipe network that transports waste directly to a collection station as far as 2 km away from the inlets.
At the collection station, the waste is stored in large containers and collected by the waste contractor – but only when full. This single collection movement replaces multiple daily collections, often by multiple collection vehicles.
The whole operation, from inlet to container, is managed by Envac’s smart automation platform.
All these features combined means that the Envac system help reducing heavy traffic and associated emissions with up to 90 per cent in the area. Traffic jams, noise and unsafe street environment related to collection traffic are avoided. This makes our system a natural choice when making the city smarter, cleaner and more sustainable.
Businesses, from retail shops to single office buildings and hotels, benefit from connecting to our system. It is also installed in large scale operations like university campuses, industrial parks and amusement parks. For destruction of confidential documents, a shredder is incorporated.

We continuously collect operational data to further optimize the performance of the Envac system. Using Artificial Intelligence, we make sure that our waste collection is streamlined and sustainable, reducing both emissions and cost.
The system is robust and reliable, collecting waste 365 days per year. It is not affected by strikes, weather conditions or pandemic situations.
