Envac Norge AS is proud to announce the signing of a Climate Contract with the City of Oslo – a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to sustainability and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

The formal signing of the climate contract took place at a ceremonial event in the Festgalleriet of Oslo City Hall, with Petter Mellquist, Managing Director of Envac Norge, representing the company, and Marit Vea, Vice Mayor for Environment and Transport, signing on behalf of Oslo Municipality. Knut Johansen, Sales Director at Envac Norway, also took part in the event, marking the culmination of more than a year of participation in the city’s Næring for klima (Business for Climate) network.
“On April 10th I had the privilege of signing a climate contract with the Norwegian capital Oslo, together with our Sales Director Knut Johansen. Goals related to sustainable solutions and the reduction of greenhouse gases can only be achieved through close collaboration between public and private actors. Envac wants to be part of that journey.”
Petter Mellquist, Managing Director Envac Norge
Oslo’s Næring for klima initiative aims to create a shared platform where the public sector and businesses can collaborate, exchange knowledge, and work together towards the city’s ambitious climate targets.
“The network has been a source of both insight and inspiration through the meetings we’ve attended. It’s been a rewarding experience, and we look forward to seeing how we can continue to contribute as a company. Oslo needs spaces where politicians, civil servants, and industry leaders can meet – and this is one of the truly effective ones.”
Knut Johansen, Sales Director Envac Norge
Envac’s mission has always been to support cities in becoming smarter, cleaner, and more sustainable. By participating in this partnership with Oslo, we are reaffirming our role in helping the city achieve its climate goals through innovation, intelligent waste collection systems, and environmental responsibility.
