Bay Square is a mixed-use complex situated in Business Bay, Dubai comprising 12 medium-rise residential and office buildings connected through a basement car park.
Elevating the Bay Square experience, the Envac system fosters a car-free and pedestrian-friendly environment by minimising the need for waste collection trucks to move within the area and stop at each building for bin emptying. With an Envac system, there is only a need for one stop. Efficiency and sustainability take centre stage, shaping the future of urban living.
Implementation of the Envac technology also unleashed the opportunity to optimise ground floor space originally designed for bin storage rooms. Now they are converted into lively restaurants, shops, facilities management offices and other amenities.
By reducing the daily hours waste collection trucks spend at Bay Square, Envac is not only minimising carbon emissions and particles, but also effectively reducing noise levels. It’s a win-win situation for both the environment and the well-being of residents and visitors.
Since the Envac system’s inauguration in 2007, it has remained tirelessly at work, silently and seamlessly collecting close to a staggering 3,000 tonnes of waste per year from every corner of Bay Square. It ensures that Bay Square is clean, green, and thriving.
