- The system will automatically serve the world’s future second-tallest tower in the world, comprising 725-metre mixed-use tower, residential, hotels, retail and leisure areas.
- Designed to collect around 7 tonnes of waste per day, the installation will support cleaner operations, improved hygiene and Dubai’s smart-city and sustainability ambitions.
Stockholm, 30th September 2026: Envac has been selected to provide the automated waste collection system for Burj Azizi, the 725-metre supertall mixed-use tower currently under construction by Azizi Developments on Sheikh Zayed Road, in Dubai’s Trade Centre district.
Burj Azizi is set to become the world’s second-tallest tower. The AED 6 billion landmark development will span approximately 320,400 square metres, with a gross floor area of 236,000 square metres across around 140 floors. The tower will bring together luxury residences, an all-suite seven-star hotel, a seven-floor vertical mall, an observation deck, and extensive food-and-beverage, entertainment, and leisure venues.

Envac’s system has been designed to provide a fully automated, sealed and odour-free waste collection solution for one of the world’s tallest mixed-use buildings. Serving the tower’s residential, hotel, F&B tenants, and pool club areas, the system will eliminate the need for traditional waste trolleys, bins, and internal truck movements, while helping to reclaim valuable floor area otherwise required for conventional waste rooms.
The Burj Azizi system will feature one collection station, approximately 600 metres of pipework, and six discharge valves across three locations – residential, hotel and pool club. Once operational, it is expected to collect approximately 7 tonnes of waste per day, supporting efficient, hygienic and highly controlled waste handling throughout the tower.
The installation will be collecting two waste fractions: general waste and recyclable waste. Waste will be deposited through sealed inlets located across the residential, hotel and retail areas of the building and transported through a vertical and horizontal pipe network to a central collection station. This waste reaches the collection station already separated by fraction, where it will be compacted and sealed for removal at the same terminal.
“Burj Azizi is an exceptional project that reflects Dubai’s ambition to lead the future of high-rise, mixed-use urban development. Envac is proud to contribute to this landmark by delivering a smart, innovative, resilient waste collection solution that improves hygiene, optimises space and supports more sustainable building operations while improving the quality of life of residents and visitors,” states James Fullerton, Managing Director, Envac Dubai LLC.
The project reinforces Envac’s role as a key technology partner for large-scale, complex urban developments in the Middle East. By integrating automated waste collection into the building’s core infrastructure, Burj Azizi will benefit from a cleaner, safer and more efficient approach to waste management, aligned with the sustainability and smart-city objectives of both Azizi Developments and Dubai Municipality.
